Olympic silver medalist and three-time Super Bowl champion Michael Carter returned to the 60th annual Golden West Invitational at Oak Ridge High in El Dorado Hills, Calif., to reflect on the national high school shot put record of 81-3.50 (24.77m) he produced on his final attempt June 16. 1979 at the Golden West meet at Sacramento State.
